The 6 Must-Knows of Hearing and Trusting Your Intuition

First Things First: The Skinny on Psychic Ability and Intuition

Intuition is an important function of the human mind. It is a real and scientific phenomenon. It is as real as your physical body, and exists alongside your thoughts and emotions. Intuition is the strongest connection you have to your own subconscious. It also gives you unprecedented access to the source of all creativity, wisdom as well as a unique level of discernment.

The more you listen to your intuition, and the more you act on what it tells you, the more sensitive and confident about its messages you will become.

The value intuition has on our lives is often dismissed. Our western values teach us not to trust our intuition. And because of that, many of us spend inordinate amounts of time discounting every message our subconscious sends and then regretting any decision we made as a result of listening.

Intuition has a difficult time getting past the rational mind. You can’t explain intuition, but you can come to know it and trust it. You see intuition is the difference between our intellectual, logical mind and the more encompassing realm of spirit. Logic is how the mind knows reality; intuition is how the spirit experiences that reality.

Malcolm Gladwell, in his bestselling book, Blink, describes situations where we can do your best thinking when we don’t think at all. His book is about the power of intuition although he does not call it that. Gladwell believes the phenomenon of intuition is wrongly defined. He believes the concept relates solely to emotional reactions and gut feelings that don’t appear to be rational. However, he believes messages that come in the blink of an eye—the first two seconds it is received—is completely rational. He goes on to say that what happens, “… is just thinking that moves a little faster and operates a little more mysteriously than the kind of deliberate, conscious decision-making we usually associate with thinking.”

The Must-Knows of Accessing Your Intuition

  1. No Second Guessing: To enhance the reliability of your intuition don’t second guess it or doubt it before you get a chance to act on it.
  2. Listen to Your Body: Obey the sensations going on in your body and don’t allow outside pressures to influence you.
  3. Say Yes to Enlightened Moments: Allow any “ah-ha” moments to guide your actions, and if you have to, ask for guidance from your higher power. You may get an eerie feeling about someone that comes in a flash. But, stay with it and don’t hurry onto the next thought or lose the insight.
  4. Fear vs. Unbiased vs. Hope: As you become adept at interpreting your intuitions, you will need to distinguish unbiased intuition from fear-based or hopeful thinking disguised as intuition.
  5. Be in Neutrality: Reliable intuitive messages are usually delivered unemotionally, although they may have a compassionate, affirming tone. They often come through as clear and crisp with a detached sensation.
  6. TRUST: The word of the day is “trust.” When it comes to listening to your intuition, “trust it.” Your subconscious is communicating important information. Trust it. Trust your gut.

You’re Ready: Now, Let’s Turn Up the Power of Your Intuition

To increase the power of your intuition, you will have to identify and release any core beliefs you have about the validity of intuition. You will have to separate past emotional reactions and hurts from messages your intuition may be trying to send.

To claim your intuitive powers, admit you don’t have data to support your decision, but you are going with your gut anyway. If what your intuition is telling you is contrary to what things appear to be, go with your intuition.

Great leaders in history and people we hold in great esteem are not people who used spreadsheets to convince a skeptical audience of their views or decide what path to follow. They argued their position form their own base of credibility and conviction—the decisions they made because of the prompting of intuition.

Everyone knows that hard data is essential for certain kinds of decision-making, but not everyone knows or appreciates the power of listening to your gut—your intuition.

Everyone has an experience where they realized their intuition was right and that they should have gone with their gut. That is because intuition is more right than it is ever wrong.

Sometimes your intuition will tell you to wait—to wait and make a decision or wait for additional information before you make a decision. The power of the collective consciousness of the universe and your higher self often collaborate with your intuition to deliver information. Your intuition may be saying to wait for that collaboration to happen.

You may often find that logic feels better but your gut denies it. Go with your gut. Remember, intuition isn’t witchcraft. It is a phenomenon God has given for our protection and edification that anyone can use.

Summing it Up!

You’ve learned the importance and impact intuition has on our lives. Intuition is an important function of the human mind. It is a real and scientific phenomenon. It is as real as your physical body and exists alongside your thoughts and emotions. Intuition is the strongest connection you have to your own subconscious.

What’s Next? Here’s What …

Being a psychic isn’t about seeing the future, or telling fortunes. It’s about self actualization. It’s also about helping others and supporting clients and those around you to come to their own understanding about questions causing them distress or for which they just need a bit of guidance. The issues most commonly brought to psychics—and about which psychics obtain information and messages—are requests for guidance and insight concerning health, career, finance, love, and relationships. The guidance a psychic gives is often information a client already knows but refuses to acknowledge or consider in a particular light.

Intuitive Development: How to Read Your Energy Color in 3 Easy Steps

Intuition and Your Energy Color

Edgar Cayce, the famous American mystic once said, “At any time a soul will give off—through vibrations—the story of itself and the condition in which it now exists. So, when I see an aura, I see the man as he is.”

It is those vibrations he speaks of that we perceive as color. And, it is the intensity of those colors that indicate the condition of a soul. Today, you’ll learn how you—or anyone who desires it—can see and read their own energy colors and/or the energy colors of others.

Putting Your Big Toe In: Psychic Ability and Learning Energy Color

Each person has an aura that reflects his or her personal energy. Most people have an aura that surrounds them in about a 3-foot radius, extending for 18 to 24 inches from the body. People who have endured trauma and tragedy often have larger auras.

An aura can come in many colors and/or exhibit a dominant color. It’s rare that an aura will be only one color. Some can be a composite of rainbow colors.

Every aura consists of seven levels/layers/auric bodies. Each body has its own unique frequency. And, each body is interrelated, and each affects that another as well as a person’s feelings, emotions, thinking, behaviors, and health. In other words, an imbalance in one of the bodies can lead to an imbalance in the others.

It wasn’t until the invention of Kirlian photography, that auras could be validated beyond that of a psychic’s word. The process, named after Semyon Kirlian, who accidentally discovered color emanating from individuals did so when an object on a photographic plate was connected to a high-voltage source. The image that was produced showed colors undetectable by the human eye.

Clairvoyants have always been able to perceive these colors long before Kirlian’s discovery. Professional clairvoyants have always used the information to enhance their psychic readings and energy healings, even at a distance. There’s a lot of information available for someone gifted with this type of sight. It is a special gift and skill that should be honed because it increases the depth and experience of any psychic reading.

You can tap into that information too. If you would like to, choose the best conditions you can before you begin.

  1. Place yourself, or your subject, in the front of a softly lit white background. You will be able to see the aura better against white and when you do, you’ll gain invaluable confidence.
  2. It is also important to note that before you can perceive an energy field in someone else, you will have to perceive your own energy field first. To open your vision and enable you to perceive energy frequencies, choose one spot to look on yourself or subject and concentrate on that. The middle of the forehead—the location of one’s Chakra or Third Eye—is best. In ancient times, a view into one’s Chakra was an invitation to look within and view the aura that exists outside.
  3. Once you’ve done that, concentrate on the area for 30 to 60 seconds or longer. Then use your peripheral vision to notice the surroundings. Be careful not to lose your concentration. The quality of your concentration will increase your sensitivity and multiply the affect of the Aura vibrations reaching your eyes.

Soon you will notice a impact of color on the background. The person will appear brighter or have a definite color emanating from against the white background. If you are attempting to see your own aura, follow the same procedure, but use a mirror.

Each color in an aura has meaning. For example, yellow has a specific physical correlation to the spleen. Which may be important in cases of healing. Green variations will come from people who work for the public good like teachers and doctors, or who have a love for animals and nature. Such information may be important for suggesting possible occupations. On the physical side, green relates to the heart and lungs.

There are many colors, color combinations, and levels of colors you will see when viewing someone’s aura. The study of Auric interpretations requires that you familiarize yourself with those colors and what they mean. To expand the efficiency of your viewing, practice every day. Practice will increase your sensitivity and further the development of your Auric sight.

Psychic Development: 3 Types of Mental Telepathy and How to Get Started

Mental Telepathy Banner

What is Mental Telepathy?

Imagine if you could send a message to anyone you wanted regardless of how far away they are and do it without a written letter or cell phone; no texting, no recorded messages, no penciled thought, no actual words whatever. If you could, you would be using mental telepathy—the process of transferring your thoughts from your mind to someone else’s. This form of communication has always been thought to be outside the mainstream of science. It has always been thought to be in the realm of science fiction or the paranormal. But, there is proof to the contrary.

In a recent experiment, a person in India said, “hola” and “ciao” to three other people in France. Today, the Web, smartphones and international calling might not make this seem like an impressive feat, but it was. The greetings were not spoken, typed or texted. The communication in question happened between the brains of a set of study subjects, marking the event as one of the first instances of brain-to-brain communication on record.

The team, were members who came from a Barcelona-based research institute, Starlab, the French firm Axilum Robotics, and the Harvard Medical School. These organizations published their findings in 2014, in the journal, PLOS One.

RELATED: The Difference Between a Thought and a Psychic Message

In Your Intuitive Development You’ll Use Three Forms of Telepathy

The three types of mental telepathy are: physical, mental and emotional—all of which are forms of ESP.

Telepathic communications can be received by way of feelings, emotions, thoughts, images and desires. Some people can even communicate telepathically when dreaming. Telepathy is communicating without any of your five senses.

Telepathy is available to everyone. It is not reserved solely for the gifted or talented. Everyone is born with a telepathic aptitude. The only thing that prevents many from being able to communicate in this way is skepticism and a lack of awareness.

One of the main requirements for practicing telepathy is to separate yourself from your physical body. This allows you to focus on thought and the messages you are trying to send.

Telepathy is a skill that takes time to perfect. However, your talents will improve with practice. Open mindedness and a relaxed mental state will enhance your chances. A closed mind is less likely to transmit or receive effectively.

How to Access Your Mental Telepathy Ability Easily!

To get started, get a partner. Prepare yourselves. Meditate to calm your mind and body. Next, sit across from, and facing, one another, then decide who will send and who will receive. The sender should decide on the details of the message—detail is important. Picture the receiver and the image of the message. When you are ready, transmit your message. Think of the message traveling and reaching its target. If it takes too long, stop, meditate and try again. After you have sent your message, have the receiver write down what he or she has perceived. Compare notes . . . and practice again.

In the future, telepathic communication may be the norm. And, while words may fail us, thoughts will not.

It begins with acknowledging the fact that, no matter what you want to do, some form of skilled instruction and training must be involved. What You Want to Know: The Conscious, Unconscious and Super Conscious Mind

Sub C Banner

The Conscious, Unconscious and Super Conscious Mind

This week we explore the subject of consciousness. In order to do this, we have to explore the three faces of consciousness: the conscious mind, the sub-conscious mind, and the super-conscious mind.  Each level of the mind is linked and serves to give you insights into our environment and our selves. We will look at how each of these concepts works together to create our reality and provide us with the knowledge to create a happier, more peaceful and confident self.

The Conscious Mind: Computer-like Function

The conscious mind can be thought of as the computer-like function of the mind. The consciousness mind plays a unique role: it keeps us safe. We explore its boundaries and how it benefits us. We’ll talk about how it works in conjunction with the other two functions of the mind to make us aware of insights and information that come to us in subtle, barely noticeable messages.

When discussing the power of the conscious mind, E. Stanley Jones once said, “The conscious mind determines the actions, the unconscious mind determines the reactions; and the reactions are just as important as the actions.”

To most people, it is our conscious mind that determines who we are. However, in reality, our conscious mind is just a small portion of who we actually are. It is a very small part of how the three functions of our mind enable us to communicate with the universe.

Just because our conscious mind is easily accessible, it is not the instrument that completely determines who we are, what we do, and why we do it. It is merely the vehicle that allows us to easily communicate through speech, pictures, writing, physical actions and a shallow form of thought.

Our conscious mind is our objective mind. It has no memory and it can only hold one thought at a time. It functions to identify incoming information using our senses; sight, sound, smell, taste, touch, and feeling. Our conscious mind is continually observing and categorizing (sometimes correctly and sometimes incorrectly) what is going on around us. It is the part of our mind that can’t be fully trusted. It is continually sorting impressions and consequently deciding which are relevant and which are not. It is often influenced by past actions and previously wrong decisions. It is like a binary computer. It accepts or rejects things in a simple “yes” or “no” manner in order to make a decision. It deals with one thought at a time: positive or negative, yes or no.

The benefit of this kind of thinking is to preserve our lives. It enables us to make a “go, no go” decision quickly. Our subconscious on the other hand is like a huge memory bank. Its capacity is virtually unlimited and permanently stores everything that ever happens to us. We will cover how these two functions of our mind work together next time we meet. For now, just know that we rely on each of our mental mechanisms and that all three must be functioning in order for us to be complete.

The Subconscious Mind at the Helm

Let’s talk now about the sub-conscious mind, the role it plays in our lives and its connection to intuition.

In exploring the level that exists just below that of our conscious awareness, we come to the subconscious mind. It is the part of our mind that records everything we do—every activity we engage in, every thought we have about those activities, and the likes and dislikes we encounter each day. It is the part of our minds we are familiar with when we sleep, dream, and behave according to beliefs of which we are not aware.

Although nothing is forgotten by the subconscious mind, this part of our consciousness remains hidden from our everyday awareness. However, that does not exclude it from having influence over how we think and act in our conscious state.

In other words, the subconscious influences much of what we do each day, but those influences are from past actions and the habits we have created from them. This means the ideas drawn from the subconscious are not going to be new and creative.

It is our subconscious mind that provides meaning to all our interactions with the world—meaning as it is filtered through your beliefs and habits. It communicates information through our feelings, emotions, imagination, sensations, and dreams. Our current understanding of consciousness is rigid . . . . and fails to give recognition to the conscious experiences outside the definition of normal. Such experiences are considered fake, abnormal, or unnatural. Normal consciousness is earthbound and is only normal in the sense that is it well known; you are aware of something on the outside as well as some specific mental functions happening on the inside.

It is important to know that our subconscious mind can’t move outside its fixed programs – it reacts automatically to situations using previously stored behavior responses. It works without the knowledge or control of the conscious mind. This is why we are often unaware of our behavior.

Studies from as far back as the seventies show that our brains begin to prepare for action just over a third of a second before we consciously decide to act. In other words, even when we ‘think’ we are conscious, it’s our sub-conscious mind that is actually making decisions for us.

The Super-conscious Mind & the Land Beyond, Beyond

Arrives the Super-conscious Mind! This ever-exhilarating but complex super-consciousness is a level all its own. This is third level of the mind also guides us and through which we can control our lives. Let’s tackle this exceptional mind space, aka, the super-conscious mind.

While the conscious and sub-conscious minds are familiar to us, the super-conscious mind remains unknown and mysterious. It is the hidden spiritual system behind intuition, spirituality, and physical and spiritual healing. It is the problem solving part of us and allows us to feel such things as joy, excitement, and empathy. The work of our super-conscious mind is often overlooked when we aspire to live a richer, more meaningful life.

While we are familiar with the fleeting moments of raised consciousness, few know the technique for purposely entering the exalted state of super-consciousness. Super-consciousness is the state reachable only through meditation, chanting, affirmation, and prayers specifically designed to lead us into a state of super-consciousness. It is our super-consciousness that makes possible human achievements of greatness . . . and the elevation of the human spirit.

The idea of a higher consciousness is rooted in the notion of reaching a higher self that transcends reality. It is the essence of human existence that makes us capable of going beyond the confines of the physical world and the trappings of logic.

#StarTrek Wraps It Up!

We have covered at length now all three states of being. To wrap up with a simple illustration of how important each state of consciousness is, I’d like to refer you to a popular Star Trek: Generations episode, “Loud as a Whisper.”

It is an episode in which a deaf mediator is enlisted to solve a planetary dispute. He cannot speak, but has a chorus of three personalities that exist within him and speak aloud for him. One is logic and judgment, the second, passion and romance, the third—like the super-conscious—is that which binds all three together. It is harmony, wisdom, and balance. While the analogy is not exact, the episode gives us an idea of how our three minds interact—each mind serving a purpose with the super-conscious serving to combine all three to create a higher form of existence.
